YZ400F YZ426F YZ450F Lowering Link
We have made several YZF YamaLinks. Each one not only lowers the seat height, but makes the YZF more plush and ride better over rocks, roots, square edge, and braking bumps.
The 1999 through 2008 is a rocker (looks like a boomerang) that lowers the rear 40mm (1.5 inches). We strongly recommend a 20% heavier rear spring rate for the 1999 - 2008 due to the extra leverage in order to achieve balanced handling.
The 2009 through 2025 is a connecting rod (straight YamaLink) that lowers the rear 30mm (called TRAIL) or 12mm (called RACE). If you are in need of a heavier spring with the stock setup we recommend a heavier spring with the TRAIL. The RACE does not require a heavier spring rate UNLESS you needed a heavier spring rate with the OEM/stock setup.
