YZ125 and YZ125X Lowering Link
There are several options for the YZ125 and YZ125X. Increase plushness, lower seat height, and make the 125 handle better for short AND tall riders.
If you want to lower the rear of your 125 a total of 1.5 inches/40mm then select the TRAIL rocker (looks like a boomerang). We strongly recommend a 20% heavier spring due to the increased leverage of the YamaLink in order to achieve proper sag. Failure to go up in spring rate will result in a 125 that has too much sag which will bottom excessively and understeer..
If you own a 2006 or newer YZ125/125X, and aren’t looking for a true lowering link, but more of a performance link, we recommend the 20mm or 6mm RACE (it’s the straight piece). which takes the edge off braking bumps and square edge, and helps smooth out hardpack ruts. If you are on the border of needing a heavier spring with the stock setup then we recommend going up 10% in spring rate for the RACE YamaLink.
The Race does not work on a 2005 or older YZ, and you cannot combine the RACE + Trail on your YZ.
