WR250F Lowering Link
Options are good, and we’ve made several WR250F lowering links for you to choose from. Each one not only lowers the seat height, but makes the WR250F more plush and ride better over rocks, roots, square edge, and braking bumps. Did you notice the convenient grease zerk for easy on-bike bearing maintenance?
The 1999 through 2014 Trail is a rocker (looks like a boomerang) that lowers the rear 40mm (1.5 inches). We strongly recommend a 20% heavier rear spring rate for the 1999 - 2014 due to the extra leverage in order to achieve balanced handling. Not going up in spring rate will result in really bad bottoming and a poor handling WRF.
The 2015 - 2025 Trail is a connecting rod (straight YamaLink) that lowers the rear 30mm. If you are on the border of needing a heavier spring with the stock 2015 - 2025 WR250F setup (approximately 75kg/165 pounds) we recommend a 10% heavier spring for the YamaLink.
The 2015 - 2025 RACE YamaLink lowers the rear 15mm. You only need a heavier spring if you needed one with the stock setup in order to achieve proper race sag.
